Women Travelling Without Tickets- A shocking video of two women arguing with a Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) and allegedly making casteist remarks after being caught travelling without tickets in a First AC coach has gone viral on social media. The incident, which was first shared on Reddit, has triggered outrage among users who condemned the women’s behavior towards the railway official.
Viral Video Shows Heated Argument Inside First AC Coach(Women Travelling Without Tickets)
The now-viral clip was posted on Reddit’s r/IndianRailways subreddit, where it quickly gained attention for highlighting the challenges faced by railway officials while performing their duties. The video shows a TTE questioning two women — one of whom appears to be accompanied by her daughter — who were travelling in a First AC coach without valid tickets.

The TTE can be heard saying, “Please show me your ticket. How could you be in a First AC coach without a ticket? How could you do that?” His calm yet firm tone indicates he was following standard railway protocol.
One of the women, however, appears visibly irritated by the questioning. She interrupts him and objects to being recorded, saying, “I respect you for doing your job, but you can’t record my video.” Her daughter can be seen standing beside her, seemingly supporting her mother during the argument.

When the TT objected and made a video for proof, she started playing the "women's card" and "Caste Card".

As the conversation continues, the woman mocks the official, saying in Hindi, “Kaisi photo chahiye aapko? Selfie lijiyega?” (What kind of photo do you want to take of us? Will you take a selfie?). The sarcastic comment, made while her daughter poses beside her, adds a mocking tone to the situation.
The woman then tries to justify her presence in the First AC coach by claiming she only entered temporarily. “I respect you a lot. My whole family is in the Indian Railways. My brother is a loco pilot. I had to use the washroom and was about to go to the general compartment when you came,” she says.
Unmoved by her explanation, the TTE calmly reminds her of the rules. “Even if you were going to the general compartment, you are supposed to purchase a ticket to travel — and you do not have that,” he replies.
Casteist Remark Sparks Controversy

The confrontation escalates when the woman, visibly angered, demands the ticket checker’s name. After learning it, she allegedly makes casteist remarks, implying that if the official had belonged to another caste, he would not have “created a scene.”
Taken aback by the comment, the TTE immediately responds, saying, “What do you mean? Don’t throw casteist remarks at me. This is what you can do — shout and speak like this despite not buying a ticket.” His reaction highlights the discrimination faced by public servants even while enforcing basic rules.
The casteist slur not only shocked social media users but also raised concerns about how certain passengers resort to personal attacks and discriminatory language when caught violating travel norms.
Social Media Outrage and Public Response
The video quickly spread across platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, where users condemned the women’s behavior and praised the TTE for maintaining his composure. Many commented that railway officials face immense verbal abuse and disrespect while doing their jobs.
One user wrote, “People think they can talk their way out of anything. The TTE was just doing his duty — this is unacceptable.” Another added, “Casteist remarks are not only illegal but also deeply disrespectful. Action should be taken.”
Some users also highlighted how entitled behavior in premium train coaches has become increasingly common. “The irony is that these are First AC passengers — and yet no sense of responsibility or respect for the law,” one comment read.
Indian Railways Yet to Issue Statement

As of now, the Indian Railways has not released any official statement regarding the incident. However, social media users are urging the authorities to take strict action against the passengers for both travelling without tickets and using caste-based slurs.

Moreover, using casteist language violates provisions under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, making it a serious legal matter.
If the video is verified and formal complaints are filed, authorities may initiate proceedings against the women involved.
A Reminder of Respect and Accountability
This viral incident serves as a reminder of the challenges faced by railway officials across India. Ticket checkers often handle thousands of passengers daily and are responsible for ensuring fair travel and safety. Disrespecting them not only undermines their authority but also sets a poor example for others.
As the clip continues to circulate, it has sparked a larger discussion about civility, accountability, and caste-based discrimination in public spaces.
