If you jump straight into Episode 6 of Wednesday Season 2 after Episode 5, prepare for a moment that will make you do a double-take. The episode opens with a surprisingly playful montage, showing Wednesday Season 2 dressed in bright, colorful outfits, wearing makeup, and dancing carefree through the courtyard.
No, you didn’t miss anything—the show quickly flashes back 16 hours and 36 minutes, just before Enid assures viewers, “This is the Wednesday Addams you didn’t know you needed.” So what leads to this out-of-character, unexpected scene?
Rewinding to the past, Wednesday, Morticia, Gomez, and Enid meet with Principal Mort and Sheriff Santiago. They reveal that the second Hyde is Tyler’s mother, and everyone agrees to let it slide, trusting Francoise’s word that she and Tyler will leave town.

Isaac Night emerges as a key to Wednesday’s Hyde troubles. (Wednesday Season 2)
Though Tyler may be out of the picture for now, Weems reminds Wednesday that the original vision remains unchanged: Enid is still fated to die, and Wednesday is responsible.
Frustrated, Wednesday turns to Weems for guidance on how to regain her powers. Much to her dismay, Weems reveals that the key lies in repairing her relationship with her mother. Her psychic abilities are tied to her familiar bonds, and the unresolved tension with Morticia is what’s disrupting her power. To restore her abilities, Wednesday must gain emotional clarity and overcome the empathy gap that’s holding her back.
The conversation then shifts to Francoise, with Weems explaining that Isaac was her brother. She recounts how he went missing after an explosion in his lab and shares the legend of where his body was buried. That’s when Wednesday Season 2 pieces it together: Pugsley’s zombie pet is actually the reanimated corpse of Isaac Night.
Though Pugsley can’t say much, he gives Wednesday a photo he left behind when he ran off. The photo, it turns out, is the same one Isaac discovered in the sewers after feasting on the brains of the hitman sent to neutralize Francoise. Clearly, Isaac isn’t the only one searching for her—he’s looking for his sister as well.

Enid May Be an Alpha. (Wednesday Season 2)
In the previous episode, Enid transformed into a werewolf even though it wasn’t a full moon—a moment that left both her and the audience with plenty of questions. It now appears this transformation could signal that Enid is actually an alpha.
After witnessing the shift, Professor Capri visits Enid and explains that her transformation is one of many signs of being an alpha. Alphas often develop their powers later than others and tend to wolf out during a blood moon. The revelation worries Enid, as alphas are often known for ending up alone.
Before Professor Capri can offer reassurance, she receives an alert from Principal Mort about a new curfew. Still, she hints to Enid that there’s more to being an alpha than commonly believed, suggesting much of what people think may be misinformation.

Lady Gaga’s Wednesday Character Brings Major Trouble
Seeking answers, Wednesday turns to Grandmama for help in finding Francoise and Tyler. This leads Grandmama to ask if Wednesday has heard of Rosaline Rotwood, a legendary Raven who once taught at Nevermore. She explains that Rotwood is now buried in the Nevermore graveyard, and any Raven who recites the inscription beneath her headstone can gain temporary sight.
Desperate for guidance, Wednesday visits the graveyard and encounters Rosaline, portrayed brilliantly by Lady Gaga. When Wednesday asks for help, Rosaline instructs her to place her hand over a flame to temporarily restore her psychic sight. But she issues a stern warning: if Wednesday pulls her hand away too soon, she will break the Raven’s gaze—and face the consequences.
