Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief and acclaimed Tamil actor Vijay has strongly condemned the arrest of Opposition Members of Parliament (MPs) during a protest march to the Election Commission in New Delhi. The demonstration, led by Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, was organised to demand free and fair elections and to oppose the special intensive revision of Bihar’s voter list.
Speaking out on the issue, Vijay thalapathy emphasised that free and fair elections form the foundation of democracy. He stressed that the appointment of Election Commissioners should be made through consensus, ensuring the credibility and impartiality of the electoral process.
