Today is Constitution Day: Every year on November 26, our nation celebrates Constitution Day, also known as “Samvidhan Divas,” to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution. The Constituent Assembly enacted the Indian Constitution on November 26, 1949, and it came into force on January 26, 1950.

On November 19, 2015, the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment announced that the Indian government had decided to commemorate the 26th day of November each year as “Constitution Day” to encourage citizens to uphold the principles of the Constitution.
Today is Constitution Day
Today is the holy Constitution Day. The Constitution, which provides justice to the individual. The Constitution punishes the guilty and rewards the victor. The Constitution promotes equality. After breaking the shackles of Indian slavery imposed for more than two hundred years and living independently, the law under which we are now living was established on this day, i.e. November 26. Which is called the Constitution of our country.

Today is Constitution Day. Therefore, the Constitution of our country was framed on November 26, 1949, due to the efforts of many great minds like Dr B.M. Ambedkar, Dr Rajendra Prasad, etc. Dr B.M. Ambedkar, a prominent member of that drafting committee, is called the father of the Constitution. Therefore, in simple terms, this Constitution is a collection of some principles and rules, which we, the people of the country, follow.
Today is Constitution Day. Just as a dam controls the rapid flow of a river and allows the water of the river to flow properly, similarly, the Constitution of a country regulates the government by properly governing the people of that country and according to principles. Although the Constitution of our country came into effect on January 26, 1950, it was framed only in November 1949.
Today is Constitution Day. Therefore, after independence, considering the need for a constitution as inevitable, a Constituent Assembly was formed in India on the recommendation of the Cabinet Mission of 1947, consisting of representatives of the people. This assembly first met on 9th December 1946 and after 11 meetings and a hard work of 2 years, 11 months and 18 days, this assembly completed all its work on 26th November 1949. Therefore, today we celebrate that day as Constitution Day.
Therefore, today, let us all take a pledge to make that historic day alive in the minds of every Indian and to protect the Constitution of our country and show due respect to the Constitution and to make it a model constitution in the world.
