PM Modi Accuses Congress- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday delivered a strong attack on the Congress party, accusing it of siding with terrorists allegedly trained by Pakistan and protecting infiltrators, instead of supporting India’s armed forces. Addressing a public meeting in Assam, Modi raised serious allegations against the Congress while highlighting the achievements of the BJP government in the region.
Operation Sindoor: PM Modi Accuses Congress of Undermining Army Efforts
The Prime Minister referred to ‘Operation Sindoor’, an operation aimed at dismantling terrorist infrastructure across the border in Pakistan. Modi alleged that instead of standing with the armed forces, the Congress was busy shielding infiltrators and anti-national forces.

“During Operation Sindoor, the Congress, instead of supporting our armed forces that successfully destroyed the terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan, was engaged in protecting infiltrators and anti-national elements,” Modi claimed during his address.
He further added that the success of the operation was achieved due to the blessings of Ma Kamakhya, and expressed his pride at standing on this sacred land of Assam.
Historical Allegations: Nehru’s Legacy in Assam
PM Modi also pointed to historical failures, saying, “The wounds inflicted by Jawaharlal Nehru during the Chinese aggression of 1962 on the people of Assam remain unhealed even today.” By making this reference, the Prime Minister sought to contrast the BJP’s governance with that of the Congress and highlight the historic neglect Assam faced under Congress rule.
BJP’s Development Record vs Congress Rule
Emphasizing the development work under BJP rule, Modi sharply contrasted the infrastructure record in Assam with that during the Congress era. He pointed out that while the Congress governed Assam for decades, it managed to construct only three bridges over the Brahmaputra River. In contrast, under the BJP’s leadership in the last ten years, six new bridges have been constructed.
Modi said these bridges played a vital role in boosting connectivity in the region, improving trade, and helping local communities in Assam and the Northeast.
Eradicating Infiltrators and Illegal Claims

The Prime Minister went on to assert that the BJP government was committed to reclaiming land from infiltrators and removing illegal claims that allegedly proliferated during the Congress regime. He alleged that Congress governments were responsible for encroachments on farmers’ land and places of worship.
“Since the formation of the BJP-led NDA government, we have begun correcting these wrongs and removing illegal claims,” Modi said. “In Assam, lakhs of acres have been reclaimed from infiltrators. The BJP’s objective is to protect the country from infiltrators and restore its integrity.”
He challenged Congress leaders who defended infiltrators to publicly disclose what efforts they had made during their rule to remove infiltrators, claiming their contribution was negligible compared to the BJP’s actions.
Strong Stance Against Infiltrators
PM Modi took a firm stance against those sheltering infiltrators, saying, “Those who shelter infiltrators will have to pay the price. The nation will not forgive them.” His remarks came as part of a larger political narrative to position the BJP as a defender of national security, especially in border states like Assam.
He underlined that protecting India’s borders and maintaining its demographic integrity were top priorities of his government.
Assam’s Growth Under BJP’s Double-Engine Government
Modi further pointed out Assam’s positive economic growth under the BJP government, attributing a 13 percent growth rate to the “double-engine” model of governance — a combination of the Central government and the BJP-led state administration.

He said Assam was being developed as a health hub, and emphasized the strategic importance of the Northeast region in achieving the national dream of ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India).
“The Northeast plays a crucial role in the country’s progress. Our government is committed to transforming Assam into a centre for health services, infrastructure development, and economic growth,” Modi added.
National Security and Development

Concluding his speech, PM Modi reiterated the BJP’s commitment to national security and development in Assam and the Northeast. He said that while the Congress focused on political opportunism, the BJP worked to build a stronger, safer, and more developed India.
“With a focus on security, infrastructure, and public welfare, the BJP-led government is determined to ensure Assam’s bright future,” the Prime Minister said.
He urged the people of Assam to continue supporting the BJP as the party aims to further strengthen the state and protect the nation’s borders from infiltrators and external threats.
