Iran has outlined three key conditions to end its ongoing friction with the United States and Israel. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that any peace agreement must recognize Iran’s “legitimate rights” and include strong international guarantees to ensure the country does not face similar attacks in the future.
In a post on the social media platform X (Twitter), Pezeshkian also demanded compensation for the damage caused during the war. He stated that Iranian remains committed to regional peace but believes the friction can only end if its rights are acknowledged and reparations are paid.
The Iranian president said he shared this position during conversations with leaders of Russia and Pakistan. According to Pezeshkian, the war—triggered by actions from the United States and Israel—can only be resolved through recognition of Iran’s rights, payment of damages, and firm international guarantees against future aggression.

They Warns of Strong Response if Ports Are Attacked
The call for a possible truce from Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian came as Iran’s military issued a strong warning about potential attacks on its port facilities. Abolfazl Shekarchi, spokesperson for Iran’s armed forces, said that Iran would respond forcefully if the United States targeted Iran ports.
Speaking to Iran’s state-run broadcaster Islamic Republic of their Broadcasting (IRIB TV), Shekarchi said that no port, economic center, or location in the Persian Gulf would be beyond Iran’s reach in such a situation.
He warned that if Iranian’s ports or docks were threatened, all ports and dock facilities across the region could become “legitimate targets” for Iranian armed forces. Shekarchi also stated that the military would launch a much stronger operation than previous actions if any attack on Iranian port infrastructure takes place.
Israel Doubts War With Iran Will Collapse Tehran Government
Israeli officials have acknowledged in private that there is no assurance that the country’s clerical leadership will topple as a result of the protracted conflict with Iran. Reports state that despite ongoing bombardment and escalating regional tensions, there are currently no obvious indications of a public rebellion within Iran.

Israel feels that the United States is far from issuing an order to halt the battle, despite Donald Trump’s recent suggestion that the war would finish soon. According to two Israeli officials who spoke to media outlets, the war is probably going to last for the time being.
Iranian has suffered significant damage as a result of Israel’s and the United States’ intense attacks. Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader , a number of high-ranking military officials are said to have died in the strikes. In addition to destroying homes, public buildings, and other infrastructure, the strikes have killed civilians and infuriated a large number of Iranians.
Tehran, the country’s capital, and a number of other locations have reported missile strikes. Iranian officials have issued a warning that anyone who tries to demonstrate would face severe consequences. As a result, many people who would typically protest the government could be reluctant to do so while the friction is ongoing.

Iran is facing serious long-term challenges despite the current situation. The country’s economy has been badly affected by strict international sanctions, which have limited trade and reduced government revenue. Because of this, many ordinary people are struggling with rising prices for food, fuel, and other daily necessities. Families are finding it harder to manage their expenses, and uncertainty about the future is increasing. Earlier this year, protests broke out in several areas as people expressed anger over economic problems and political issues. However, those demonstrations in January were strongly suppressed by authorities. As a result, many people now believe that quick political change in Iran is unlikely in the near future.
