The marriage between actor Hansika Motwani and businessmen Sohael Khaturiya has been formally dissolved. The couple was awarded a divorced by a family court in Bandra, a Mumbai neighborhood.
Adnan Shaikh, Hansika’s attorney, verified the information and stated that both parties gave their agreement for the distance. He clarified that Hansika and Sohael Khaturiya chose to end their marriage amicably after they both acknowledged that it had failed.

Hansika and Sohael Khaturiya had been having regular arguments during their marriage, according to the plea filed with the court. According to the petition, the couple’s frequent arguments—even over little matters—made it progressively harder for them to live together.
The appeal also stated that close friends and family members pushed the couple to mend their relationship and attempted to assist them in resolving their issues. But these attempts failed, and their disagreements persisted.
In the end, Hansika and Sohael Khaturiya agreed to end their marriage amicably. The pair had been living apart since July 2, 2024, according to the petition.
The two eventually had talks and decided to file for a mutual divorce despite the fact that their relationship had become strained. Neither party filed any accusations against the other, and both parties provided the court with affidavits attesting to their agreement to the mitual-di-vorce.
Lawyer Confirms Mutual Divorce Between Hansika and Sohael Khaturiya
Adnan Shaikh, Hansika’s attorney, provided an official statement outlining the couple’s divorce. He claimed that when both parties acknowledged that their marriage had totally failed, the divorce was granted by the Bandra, Mumbai, Family Court.
Additionally, he revealed that Hansika first sought a mutually agreeable and calm separation from her spouse, Sohael Khaturiya. Sohael later filed an affidavit in court attesting to his agreement to dissolve the marriage. The court decided to issue the divorce by mutual consent based on this.
Additionally, Shaikh noted that Hansika did not request a monetary settlement. According to him, the actor’s primary goal was to dissolve the marriage amicably and move on with her life, therefore she did not request maintenance or alimony.
The attorney claims that the court was already presented with the reasons for the marriage’s dissolution in the petition. Hansika now wants to concentrate on her life and career, he continued.
