This follows a series of similar incidents over the past three days, during which nearly 10 schools and a college received bomb threats via email, prompting swift police action.
More than 20 schools across Delhi have received bomb threats via email, officials confirmed on Friday. Among the latest to report a threat is Richmond Global School, located in the Paschim Vihar area.
Upon receiving the alert, teams from the Delhi Police and Fire Department quickly responded and arrived at the scene. According to the Delhi Fire Services, a thorough investigation is currently underway.
New Delhi, July 18, 2025 – In a deeply alarming series of events, over 20 schools across Delhi have received bomb threats via email in recent days, prompting immediate evacuations and a heightened security response from authorities.
The latest threat was reported by Richmond Global School in Paschim Vihar on Friday morning. The Delhi Fire Department and police teams, including the bomb disposal and dog squads, were quickly dispatched to the scene. Fortunately, after thorough inspections, no suspicious items were found.
This wave of threats follows a string of similar incidents over the past three days, during which nearly ten other schools and one college were targeted with emailed bomb threats. Among the institutions affected are St. Thomas School in Dwarka, Vasant Valley School in Vasant Kunj, The Mother’s International School in Hauz Khas, Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in Lodhi Estate, and St. Stephen’s College at Delhi University.
One of the emails, now under police examination, contained disturbing and violent language. The sender claimed to have planted explosives, specifically trinitrotoluene (TNT), hidden in black plastic bags within school classrooms. The message also included graphic threats of mass violence and disturbing personal grievances, expressing hatred toward society and mental health professionals.
In response to the threats, affected campuses were evacuated and temporarily closed. “Due to a potential bomb threat received this morning, and as advised by the police, Sardar Patel Vidyalaya will remain closed today. A bomb disposal squad is conducting a full sanitization of the premises,” the school informed parents in an official communication.
Earlier this week, bomb threats were also received by two schools in the Chanakyapuri and Dwarka areas, along with St. Stephen’s College, where the email claimed a device had been planted in the library. All locations were thoroughly searched, and no explosives were found.
Police have confirmed that, to date, no other colleges have reported similar threats. While investigations are ongoing, officials suspect a possible hoax but are treating every case with full seriousness to ensure the safety of students and staff.
Authorities are working to trace the origin of the emails and identify those responsible. Meanwhile, schools and parents remain on high alert as Delhi grapples with this unsettling wave of threats.
What Was Written in the Bomb Threats Letter?
Hello. I am writing to let you know that I have placed several explosive devices (trinitrotoluene) within school classrooms. The explosives are skillfully hidden, in black plastic bags. I will erase every last one of you from this world. Not a single soul will survive. I will gladly laugh when I will watch the news, only to see the parents show up at the school and to be greeted by the cold, dismembered bodies of their children. You all deserve to suffer. I truly hate my life, I will commit suicide after the news, will slit my throat and slit my wrists. I was never truly helped, psychiatrists, psychologists, no one has ever cared and no one will ever care. You only care about medicating the helpless and clueless humans’ psychiatrists never tell you that those meds ruin your organs or that they cause disgusting weight gain. You brainwash people into thinking psychiatric meds can help them. But they don’t. I a living proof that they do not. You all deserve this. You deserve to suffer just like me
