BMW Motorrad India has launched a Limited Edition of the BMW G 310 RR to mark the milestone of 10,000 units sold in the country. This special edition offers unique cosmetic updates and exclusivity while keeping the same performance and features that have made the G 310 RR a favorite among sports bike enthusiasts.
What’s New in the Limited Edition
The G 310 RR Limited Edition features a striking decal body kit, including detailed graphics on the wheel rims, giving the bike a sharper, more aggressive appearance. A distinctive ‘1/310’ badge on the fuel tank emphasizes its exclusivity, marking it as part of a limited production run. Buyers can choose between two color options – Cosmic Black and Polar White. Priced at Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Limited Edition is available at all BMW Motorrad dealerships across India.
The G 310 RR Limited Edition retains its fully-faired design, inspired by BMW’s litre-class supersport, the S 1000 RR. Its sharp front end features full-LED headlights, a transparent visor, and black handlebars, emphasizing its racing character. The aerodynamic bodywork, Champion’s Dome, and tank-hugging rider ergonomics showcase its track-inspired DNA, while premium elements like gold USD forks, an aluminium swingarm, and Michelin Pilot Street tyres combine style with performance. The Limited Edition also comes with a 5-inch TFT display offering intuitive graphics, multiple ride statistics, and mode-based layouts, all easily controlled via the Infotainment Control Switch.
BMW G 310 RR, Performance and Ride Modes
The BMW G 310 RR Limited Edition is powered by a 312 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 34 hp (25 kW) at 9,700 rpm and 27.3 Nm of torque at 7,700 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. A race-tuned anti-hopping clutch helps minimize engine braking and enhances stability during aggressive downshifts, ensuring a smoother and more controlled ride.
Riders can select from four ride modes – Track, Urban, Sport, and Rain – each tailored to adjust throttle response and ABS intervention for varying conditions. The Ride-by-Wire system ensures precise throttle control, while automatic idle speed management prevents stalling during starts. The bike’s chassis features a tubular steel frame with a bolt-on rear subframe, USD front forks, and a rear mono-shock suspension, all tuned for stability and balanced cornering. Braking is managed by a dual-channel ABS system with rear wheel lift-off protection, enhancing safety during aggressive braking.
