MBA Graduate Found Dead at Bengaluru Home; Police Suspect Depression

A 25-year-old woman was found dead in her Bengaluru apartment, police said on Saturday. The young woman, an MBA graduate from Davangere, Karnataka, was discovered in a decomposed state at her rented home in Gayatri Nagar, North Bengaluru. Police suspect that she died by suicide and had been struggling with depression for some time.

Body Found After Family Couldn’t Reach Her

According to reports, the woman had been living alone in Bengaluru for about one and a half years, while her family stayed in Davangere. She worked with a private company in the city and was known to be quiet and reserved.

The incident came to light when her family members grew concerned after being unable to contact her for several days. Repeated calls to her phone went unanswered. Worried, they reached out to the house owner, asking him to check on her. When the owner tried to open the door, it was found locked from inside, raising suspicion.

The landlord then informed the Subramanyanagar Police, who rushed to the spot. Upon breaking open the door, the officers discovered the woman’s body hanging in the room. Police said that the body was already decomposed, suggesting that she may have died several days earlier.

Police Suspect Suicide Linked to Depression(MBA Graduate Found Dead)

Investigators said the case appears to be a suicide and that the woman had been suffering from depression. However, officials added that a detailed investigation is underway to confirm the cause and timing of her death.

A senior police officer said, “Preliminary evidence suggests that she took her own life. We are awaiting the postmortem report to determine the exact time and cause of death.”

Her mobile phone and other personal belongings have been seized by the police and will be sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for further analysis. The police believe that her phone may contain important clues about her final moments or any communication that could explain what led to the tragedy.

Family in Shock After the Tragic Discovery

Her family, who arrived in Bengaluru after learning of the incident, are said to be in deep shock. They told the police that she had recently been under stress due to work-related issues, though they did not expect her to take such a drastic step.

A police official shared that there was no sign of foul play or forced entry into the house. “We have not found any evidence of struggle. The door was bolted from inside, and all indications point to suicide. However, we will wait for the forensic and postmortem reports before making a final conclusion,” the officer said.

Mental health professionals emphasize the importance of seeking help early. Talking to friends, family, or mental health experts can make a big difference. They also urge organizations to build employee wellness programs to help staff manage stress and emotional well-being.

Police Appeal for Awareness and Support

The Bengaluru police have urged people to reach out for help if they are struggling emotionally. “Depression is a serious issue, but it can be treated. No one should suffer in silence,” an officer said. They also reminded citizens to stay connected with friends and neighbors who live alone and to check in on them regularly.

Investigation Continues

The Subramanyanagar Police have registered a case of unnatural death and are continuing their investigation. The postmortem report is expected to provide more details about the exact cause and time of death.
