Akshay Kumar Cheers Niece Simar Bhatia on Her Bollywood Debut with Ikkis

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar recently shared a touching message for his niece Simar Bhatia, who is all set to make her acting debut in the upcoming war drama Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan.

Taking to Instagram, Akshay Kumar expressed immense pride in Simar’s first big-screen appearance. Sharing the film’s trailer on his story, he wrote, “My little Simi’s not so little anymore… from your living room performances to the big screen in #Ikkis, heart bursting with pride! @simarbhatia18. And Agastya, what screen presence! Wishing the whole team huge success.”

With this heartfelt post, Akshay not only cheered for Simar but also praised Agastya Nanda, who plays the lead role in the film.

Ikkis: A Tribute to India’s Youngest War Hero

The much-awaited movie Ikkis tells the true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee, who fought bravely during the Indo-Pak war. He was only 21 when he sacrificed his life for the nation, becoming a symbol of courage and patriotism.

The makers describe the film as a tribute to his bravery, saying, “Woh Ikkis Ka Tha, Ikkis Ka Hi Rahega!” — highlighting his age when he became a war hero.

A Glimpse Into the Ikkis Trailer

The trailer gives a powerful glimpse of Arun Khetarpal’s life — from his early days at the National Defence Academy (NDA) to his heroic moments on the battlefield. It begins with a determined young cadet, played by Agastya Nanda, vowing to earn the prestigious Param Vir Chakra for his regiment.
