In a shocking incident, YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav’s Gurugram residence came under heavy gunfire on Sunday morning. According to reports, 25 to 30 rounds were fired outside his house, creating panic in the area. While Elvish was not present at home at the time of the incident, his mother and a caretaker were inside. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Soon after the firing, gangster group Bhau Gang took to social media to claim responsibility. In their post, they alleged that Elvish had been promoting illegal betting applications, which, according to them, had “ruined many families.” The gang warned that similar actions could be taken against others associated with online betting.
The Incident in Gurugram
The firing occurred at around 5:30 am in Sector 52, Gurugram. Initial accounts suggested that around 25 to 30 bullets were discharged, though police later clarified the number to be closer to 10–12 rounds.
Eyewitnesses revealed that three masked men arrived on a motorcycle, with two of them firing repeatedly at the property before fleeing the scene. The sound of gunshots in the quiet residential locality caused immediate alarm, and neighbors alerted the authorities.
According to Elvish’s father, multiple bullet shells were recovered from the site. He claimed that the number of shots fired was much higher than what police initially stated. Gurugram Police have since cordoned off the area and are examining CCTV footage to identify the attackers.
Gangsters Claim Responsibility
Within hours of the incident, gangsters Neeraj Faridpur and Bhau Ritoliya, members of the infamous Bhau Gang, uploaded a message on social media claiming responsibility for the attack.
In their post, they said:
- The firing was carried out by Neeraj and Bhau Ritoliya.
- The motive was to “introduce themselves” to Elvish.
- They accused the YouTuber of promoting betting apps, which they allege have destroyed households financially.
The gang further issued a warning, declaring that any social media influencer or celebrity endorsing betting apps could face similar consequences—either a threatening call or gunfire. Their message stated bluntly: “Whoever promotes betting should be ready for a bullet.”
Police are currently verifying the authenticity of the post and investigating whether it was indeed made by Bhau Gang members.

A Pattern of Violence
This is not the first time the Bhau Gang has targeted high-profile individuals. Earlier, a similar firing was reported at the house of Bollywood singer Fazilpuria and one of his financiers. In that case too, gangster Himanshu Bhau, a key member of the gang, had taken responsibility.
The repeated targeting of celebrities and public figures suggests a deliberate attempt by the gang to instill fear while gaining publicity through social media.
Elvish Yadav Abroad During Attack
At the time of the shooting, Elvish Yadav was reportedly abroad. Inside the house were only his mother and caretaker, both of whom escaped unhurt.
Elvish’s father, while speaking to the media, confirmed that the family was shaken by the incident. He reiterated that nearly 30 shots were fired and urged the police to take swift action to ensure their safety.
Meanwhile, Elvish himself has not yet issued a personal statement, but his fans and supporters have flooded social media with messages of concern and solidarity. Investigation Underway
The Gurugram Police have registered a case and formed multiple teams to investigate the attack. Key steps include:
- Forensic analysis of recovered bullet shells.
- CCTV footage examination to trace the route of the attackers.
- Verification of the social media post claiming responsibility.
- Increased security around Elvish’s residence.
Police officials have urged the public not to panic, assuring that strict action will be taken against those responsible.

Betting Apps and Social Media Influencers
The firing has once again highlighted the controversial role of betting apps and their promotion by social media influencers. In recent years, several celebrities and digital creators have faced criticism for endorsing apps linked to gambling or betting, many of which are banned in India.
The Bhau Gang’s targeting of Elvish appears to be connected to this ongoing debate. By linking their actions to betting app promotions, they have tried to justify their attack as a “warning” to others. However, law enforcement officials emphasize that no justification can legitimize such violent acts.

Growing Concern for Influencers’ Safety
The attack raises serious concerns about the security of public figures, especially influencers with massive followings like Elvish Yadav. With over millions of subscribers and fans, Elvish has become a household name, making him both influential and vulnerable.
Authorities are now considering enhanced security measures for influencers who face threats from criminal organizations.
The firing at YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s Gurugram house has sent shockwaves across social media and the entertainment industry. With Bhau Gang openly claiming responsibility and linking the attack to betting app promotions, the case has taken a serious turn.
While Elvish and his family are safe, the incident underscores the growing influence of criminal gangs in leveraging social media for threats and intimidation. The Gurugram Police investigation will determine the next course of action, but for now, fans and well-wishers continue to hope for Elvish’s safety and justice in the matter.
