Engineer Rashid News: Speaking in Parliament, Baramulla MP Engineer Rashid expressed solidarity with the victims of the Pahalgam attack. “We understand the pain of the families who lost their loved ones,” he said. “We have lost thousands ourselves. We are tired of carrying the dead.”

During the Monsoon Session of Parliament, Baramulla MP Engineer Rashid addressed the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, 29 July, during the discussion on Operation Sindoor. Currently lodged in Tihar Jail, Rashid has been granted custody parole by the court from 24 July to 4 August to allow his participation in the session. In the Lok Sabha, Engineer Rashid said, “I would like to address the Congress party—much has been said about Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Yes, he was our first Prime Minister, and you gained independence on 15 August 1947. But whether it was Jinnah, Nehru, Gandhiji, or Sardar Patel—you all failed to keep India united.”

“Who will answer for our blood?” asked Engineer Rashid.

Baramulla MP Engineer Rashid said, “Unfortunately, you divided this country into three parts—Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan. Why are you killing Kashmiris? What is our fault? I want to ask—who will answer for our blood?”

“What happened in Pahalgam was not just an attack—it was the murder of humanity itself.”

He said that the incident in Pahalgam was a brutal assault on all of humanity. “You claim everything is fine there,” he added, “yet you don’t even allow us to express ourselves on social media. “People are dying in jails. Around 3,000 individuals are currently imprisoned. Even Trump doesn’t have a solution to this issue—the real solution to Kashmir lies with the people of Jammu and Kashmir. I came here by paying ₹1.5 lakh. If you can’t speak for me, how will you ever speak for the people of Kashmir?”

“Everyone here keeps chanting ‘Trump, Trump’,

He further said, “Today, I want to ask—do we truly want to end militancy? Everyone here is busy chanting ‘Trump, Trump.’ But the real solution to the Kashmir issue lies with the Hindus and Muslims of Jammu and Kashmir.”

“There seems to be a great rush to turn this country into a Hindu nation—go ahead if that’s your decision. But don’t alter the demography of my Jammu and Kashmir. Don’t interfere with its culture. Do whatever you want with Pakistan, but why are we, the people of Kashmir, being killed in the middle?

We are exhausted from lifting dead bodies,

Engineer Rashid said, We understand the pain of the families affected by the Pahalgam attack better than anyone—because we Kashmiris have lost thousands since 1989. We have witnessed the graveyards, the destruction, the endless mourning. We are tired of lifting dead bodies. I want to tell the Speaker—today, everyone is asking where those militants went and what the Honourable LG was doing. I am not here to defend anyone.

during the discussion in Parliament, he said, When you look at the border, your eyes get tired—it’s that heavily guarded. Yet, if someone really wants to cross, it’s not that difficult. Even your security forces might not be able to control everything. Two people managed to sneak into your own Parliament while you were sitting there. My question is—how do you plan to end terrorism?”

Engineer Rashid

You have to win the hearts of Kashmiris, Engineer Rashid.

He asked, “How will you fight terrorism? To do that, you must first win the hearts of Kashmiris. But I’ve been hearing this same line since yesterday. None of you spoke up for the Kashmiris. Do you want the land of Kashmir or the people of Kashmir?

Today, both the ruling party and the opposition must decide.”
